Dear Friends,
The Susan’s Garden Design Team are back today with another fun Designer Challenge to share with you.
This month the challenge is …. Fairies at the bottom of the Garden – using either or both of Susan’s Garden Fairy dies when creating their card or project.
Susan’s Garden has two Fairy die sets, the Garden Notes Fairy – Rose Petal and the Garden Notes Fairy – Tiger Lily, both of which can help add a little bit of magic to your cards.
For our Challenge today we are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on the Elizabeth Craft Designs website to 3 winners.
To enter, simply leave a comment on http://blog.elizabethcraftdesigns.com/2017/10/susans-garden-designer-challenge-october/ blog post and answer this question: “If you had your own fairy to bring you a prize, what would be 3 products on your crafting wishlist?”
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, October 13th, on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog.
Now let’s take a look at the wonderful creations i have created for the Challenge .Here's the pix
I have always been enamored with flowers. And Lily perhaps is one flower which I cherish the most because Lily is associated with innocence, purity and passion. And to top it, the October challenge has to also include Fairy which is something I connect with at a creative level. Fairy represents the power of imagination and transformation from material to occult world. So my creation today encompasses these two lovely and close-to-my-heart elements.
I always believe in the old adage "what you sow is what you reap". You have the right to chose your disposition. Hence I believe in being happy, spreading happiness to get the true happiness in your life. Hence I aptly attached the sentiment to this card creation of mine "Plant Happy thoughts and watch them Grow".
Here's how I created my card:
Take a card-stock size 10"x 8.5" and fold it to 5"x 8.5".
Then take another layer of watercolor paper and create a background with Lindy's magical and sprinkle water with mini mister and paste it on the card base.
Next create beautiful Garden Notes Lily 2, Garden Notes Hydrangea2, flower and leaves, coloring them with archival ink and shaping them using Susan's Metal Tool Kit , and PanPastels to color GN Hydrangea2 flowers. for center pollen's use prills and using kids choice glue to adhere them. Falling leaves are from Garden Notes Ivy Vine.
Cut Susan's Garden Notes Fairy-Tiger Lily Die, color the tiger lily petals
I adorned her skirt with Lily petals and used Leaf Green Silk Microfine Glitter on her torso (to add a mystical look), and a small one flower added on her neck, (taken a small petal from Hydrangea2 die). Her hairs are colored using Zig Clear Color Real Brush Marker.
Use the Entwined Circles die set throughout the card.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my wonderful creation for this month challenge and that it has inspired you to incorporate Susan’s Garden Fairies in your projects.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.
