So Sweet - Garden Notes Hydrangea from Susan's Garden

Wishing all my friends and fellow crafters a very good day.

Where I live the spring season is in full bloom, marking the end of a hard winter season and the beginning of fresh sunny weather ahead. The spring season brings vibrantly colored flowers that dot the fields and gardens. Flowers brighten our lives with their beauty. One such flower is the hydrangea – also known as the water flower. Hydrangeas signify heartfelt emotions, gratitude and thanksgiving to one you care for, as well as abundance and prosperity. With these emotions in mind I have created this card with the hydrangea as the central theme.
1. Create a side-fold card base from White Soft Finish Carddstock. Add a pink Postage Stamp Rectangle. Use the Flower Stage it Stencil  on Soft Finish Cardstock for the next layer. Highlight the petal background using modeling paste topped with Cool Diamond Glitter Silk Microfine Glitter to celebrate the season.
2. Create the Hydrangea flowers with the Garden Notes Hydrangea 2 die set. Shape and complete them, following Susan Tierney-Cockburn's video tutorial. Soften and age the petals with Rose Madder Archival Ink and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Color the leaves with Fern Green Archival Ink and Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Note: Add a single Prill or a dot of dimensional paint to the center of each individual floret. (Some of the hydrangeas are full multi-floret 'heads' while some single florets will be glued along the leaves and on top of the ivy vines in step 4.)
3. Use the Garden Notes Ivy Vine die set to cut the ivy leaves. Shape them, then shade and color with Fern Green Archival Ink and Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
4. Refer to the photos for placement of all elements. Layer and glue in place as shown or as you prefer. Spatter with Lindy's Magicals or other pigments, paints, inks or spray mists of choice for additional sparkle, to create an added vintage effect, and to visually tie things together.
5. Finish the card with a stamped sentiment like “You’re so sweet” from the General Sentiments Clear Stamps set.
6. Present the card to someone special, someone who's with you through thick and thin.

I hope you all like this creation of mine. Wishing all of you a Happy Spring Season.

Have a great day!!!
